Allegany State Park
Allegany State Park (not to be confused with nearby Allegheny) is 65,000 acres of protected land, making it New York's largest protected park. -
Beaver Lake Nature Center
Beaver Lake Nature Center is a wonderful Onondaga County Park, home to a variety of ecosystems. This is a 'must-visit' when in the Syracuse area. -
Buttermilk Falls
Buttermilk Falls is a beautiful state park located outside of Ithaca, NY. The gorge features dozens of steep cascades. -
Chenango Valley State Park
Chenango Valley is located near two glacial kettle lakes in New York's Southern Tier. 'The Valley' is home to an award-winning golf course and a host of well-groomed trails. -
Chittenango Falls
Chittenango Falls, located on a State Park in Chittenango, NY is a pristine 167' waterfall that cascades over million-year old Onondaga bedrock. The park has two trails around the waterfalls, and a great picnic area. -
Fall in the Southern Tier
The Southern Tier is awash with color as the leaves turn in the fall. Take a look at the fall foliage around Greater Binghamton. -
Fillmore Glen
Fillmore Glen is a beautiful, small ark in Moravia, NY named for Millard Fillmore (13th President), who grew up in the area. -
Greenwood County Park
Broome County's Greenwood Park rivals even the most beautiful state parks. Greenwood is set on a beautiful man-made lake. Camp, hike and swim in the summer, and enjoy the groomed cross-country ski trails in winter. -
IBM Glen
Once a picnic and recreation site for IBM Country Club visitors, the Glen is on its way to becoming a natural spot once more thanks to the Waterman Center's efforts. -
Labrador Hollow

Letchworth State Park
Letchworth State Park is called "The Grand Canyon of the East", featuring several cascades over the rocky bedrock of the Genesee Gorge. -
Lime Hollow Preserve & Nature Center
The Lime Hollow Center for Environment and Culture is located outside Cortland, NY. The newly developed center features a host of trails through the rolling hills of Cortland County. -
Ludlowville Falls
Ludlowville is a small town near Ithaca, NY and Cayuga Lake. When you go into the village, you will come upon a small town park, where the falls can be seen. -
Niagara Gorge
The Niagara Gorge trails run from Lewiston, NY to Grand Island. The trails cross through a series of parks, and run alongside countless river features. -
Niagara Reservation (State Park)
The Free Niagara movement began the park in the 1860's. By 1885, New York State founded the Niagara Reservation, making Niagara Falls State Park the oldest state park in the U.S. -
Pratt's Falls
Pratt's Falls is a 130' waterfall located on the site of Onondaga County's first mill in Manlius, NY. Located within a pristine park, you can hike, fish and enjoy several picnic spots and camps. -
Robert H. Treman State Park
Found in Enfield Glen outside of Ithaca, Treman State Park offers scenic gorge vistas, waterfalls and cool forest walking. -
Sterling Nature Center
Located in Sterling, NY the Sterling Nature center offers a series of habitats including wetlands, grasslands, streams, meadows and the Great Lake itself! -
Taughannock Falls
Taughannock Falls is a majestic site, having a drop of 215'. The gorge walls that lead to the falls rise higher than 400 feet. -
Watkins Glen
