The American Society of Criminology is an international organization whose members pursue scholarly, scientific, and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, prevention, control, and treatment of crime and delinquency.

The journal also publishes special sections and rapid response articles, which address key issues in the public arena.

Social Research Update is published quarterly by the Department of Sociology, University of Surrey. Social research UPDATE is distributed without charge online, and in hardcopy on request to social researchers in the United Kingdom by the Department of Sociology at the University of Surrey as part of its commitment to supporting social research training and development.

Journal of Sociology is the official journal of The Australian Sociological Association.
