Welcome

I am an applied sociologist working as the Interim Registrar at SUNY Cortland. In addition to my administrative role, I also teach in the Anthropology & Sociology Department.

Prior to coming to Cortland State, I served in a Banner support and implemenation role in the Provost's Office  and in Enrollment Management & Advising at Binghamton University.  I also previously worked in the Dean's Office at the University at Buffalo, where I also taught in the Sociology Department.  The University at Buffalo is also where I pursued my advanced degrees.

My research focus and academic work revolved around the area of law and society, particularly globalization and new interventionism. My latest work is focused on how globalization has impacted postindustrial cities, and their approach to redevelopment and economic boosterism.

I continue to conduct research and teach. I seek to remain engaged in the academic sociology community. I am presently teaching in the area of Criminal Justice/Criminology and Deviance, and attend professional conferences and meetings.

Prior to returning to higher education, I worked as an operations manager, where I had extensive management training, and significant financial and supervisory experiences through managing multiple units.
